I also did summer tours as a seasonal RO in Cambridge Bay in 1970 and 1971 while attending University.  Since the DOT/MOT trained me on the Elmux ARQ (computer controlled radio teletype) I embarked on many careers spanning installation of computer networks, arctic resource drilling, ice breaking technology and a whole bunch of other fantastic stuff.
